  • A treadle sewing machine is a human powered sewing machine! The machine's power comes from the rhythm of moving your feet. The treadling motion controls the speed of the needle. It is the perfect tool for intentional, slow sewing. Most antique treadles sew only straight-stitch. I sew on two machines, a modern Janome 712t set in an old singer base, this offers me the accuracy and control of the foot-powered models people used a century ago, with the convenience of a thoroughly modern machine. My other machine, and new to me is a 90+ year old Industrial high speed 103k Singer treadle .

  • Yes, we are not dependent on public utilities. We currently have a small solar array and battery bank for electricity, wood stove for heat in our home (propane heat in the studio), and haul our water in from a nearby spring.

  • Just me! Creating out of my off grid studio. Everything from finding materials, designing and creating patterns- cutting, sewing- product photography, branding, and shipping, etc.

  • I will always repair an item that I made if it should fail for any reason. Please email me through the contact form if your item needs some attention. I’ll stand by my workmanship.

  • All Canvas/Fabric is pre-washed and dried.

    -Zipper pouches could be put in the wash on gentle, and hang dry. I prefer to spot clean with warm water and soap, if necessary.

    -For Leather Handled bags, spot clean canvas with warm soapy water.

    *Always try in an inconspicuous spot before using.
