I often get asked how long I’ve been doing this-
My mother and grandmother taught me to sew as a kid. I went to quilting circles, I made doll clothes, hemmed my pants and altered my own clothes.
I created the pattern for my climbing chalk bags when I was 15, after taking a week long climbing course in North Conway, NH.
In college, the program I was in I was able to ‘major’ in rock climbing and ‘minor’ in sea kayaking.  I repaired clothes, gear, and up-cycled materials for fabric. Throughout school and working  seasonal jobs, I would trade or barter with repair, chalk bags and other handmade wares.
I often design or create a pattern when I can’t find something to suit my needs. I've made rope bags, crampon and GPS cases, you name it.  Quilted, hand dyed, block printed - I’ve explored a lot.
When I moved off grid and into the yurt, I wasn’t going to let that slow me down. I learned to use a treadle sewing machine - a tool I have found to be perfect for intentional slow slowing.
Which lands me here making bike bags, chalk bags, slings, zipper pouches, and an ever growing assortment of pieces.
